Welcome!

We’re proud to announce the inaugural Bacon Hill Bonanza 5K Road Race, Walk and Kid’s Fun Run on April 13, 2013.  The events, which will all be staged from historic Bacon Hill Reformed Church north of Schuylerville, will raise money for steeple repairs and for the Schuylerville Area Food Emergency Relief (S.A.F.E.R.), an emergency relief food bank for those in need.

The 5k race will feature home-made pies to be awarded to the winners of each age group.  Other prizes, which will showcase the area’s agricultural identity, include chocolate milk from King Brothers Dairy, eggs from the Thomas Egg Farm, blueberries from Winney’s, and tickets to the church’s popular chicken barbecue.

The mostly flat and fast course will wind through some of the most beautiful scenery in northern Saratoga County, and will include some off-road sections.  The 5k race/walk begins at 10 a.m., followed by the one-mile fun run.
Registration is $25 by March 31 and $30 from April 1 through day of race.  The first 200 pre-registered entrants will receive a race tee-shirt.  The fun run is $5.
The church is seeking additional corporate and individual sponsors.  If interested in helping to sponsor this event, please contact the race committee at the email above.

Additional information regarding the race can be found on the tabs located along the top of this page.
